Conveyor Belt Service, Inc. was established as a subsidiary of the W.P & R.S. Mars Company in 1953. Initially CBS serviced a dozen local mining companies. Today CBS works with mining companies, the wood products industry, coal fired power plants, Great Lakes shipping facilities and cargo carrying vessels around the world.

 Bridge Drainage Troughs: CBS technicians build custom made, fabric reinforced rubber drainage troughs for bridge expansion devices. The drainage trough system is a flexible water drainage system for use on roadway bridges and overpasses.

 Emergency Services: CBS is geared up to limit your downtime during an emergency. Fast response with a complete shop for back end support is provided to get you back up and running.

 Great Lakes Shipping: CBS takes great pride in having the most experienced belt technician staff to service the Great Lakes shipping industry. In fact, each year we work over at least 6,000 hours on Great Lakes vessels.

 Belt Fabrication: CBS has a large fabrication shop to complete a variety of services. Our experienced staff can help you with services like: slitting/cutting, hot, cold or mechanical splicing; track belt manufacturing; cover grooving; hole punching; cover skiving & recovering belts.

 Field Services: Our expertise serves many different industries such as Mining, Power Plants, Wood Products, Shipping Terminals, Great Lakes Vessels. We provide a variety of field services including belt installation, splicing & repair, longitudinal rip repair with specialized vulcanizer, pulley lagging & installation, inspection reports/trouble shooting & complete belt maintenance on cargo carrying vessels.
